TRAINING | ICS Level 3: Position Course

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in partnership with Office of Civil Defense-Region XI (OCD-XI) provided technical assistance through an Incident Command System Level 3 : Position Course for the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Members on March 17-21, 2025 at La Vista Zia Resort, Brgy. Little Baguio, Malita, Davao Occidental.

Enriched Parent Effectiveness Service (EPES)

The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) successfully conducted an Enriched Parent Effectiveness Service (EPES) Seminar at the Child Development Centers of Brgy. Lagumit and Brgy. Ticulon, Malita, Davao Occidental.

This seminar was a vital component of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program, aimed at equipping parents with essential knowledge and skills to support their children’s holistic growth. The event brought together key stakeholders, including the ECCD Program Focal Person, Daycare Workers, Daycare pupils and their parents, local barangay officials, and esteemed guest speakers from the MSWDO. The presence of MSWDO Head Ma’am Ferry Luz Menguito further underscored the significance of the initiative.

Women’s Month Celebration 2025

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Malita, through its initiative, the Women’s Association of Malita (WAM), celebrated the opening of Women’s Month on March 7, 2025. Under the leadership of Madam Jean Seekins Bautista, the president of WAM, the organization successfully conducted a Community Outreach Program aligned with this year’s theme: “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.” This event specifically targeted women from Poblacion 1, aiming to empower them and raise awareness about their vital societal roles.
