AKAP or ๐˜ผ๐™ฎ๐™ช๐™™๐™– ๐™จ๐™– ๐™†๐™–๐™ฅ๐™ค๐™จ ๐™–๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™†๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™– ๐™‹๐™ง๐™ค๐™œ๐™ง๐™–๐™ข is a social assistance initiative launched by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in response to the needs of individuals who may not qualify for traditional welfare programs particularly those who are vulnerable but not classified among the poorest.

๐™‚๐™ช๐™ก๐™–๐™ฎ๐™–๐™ฃ ๐™จ๐™– ๐˜ฝ๐™–๐™ง๐™–๐™ฃ๐™œ๐™–๐™ฎ is a former Gulayan sa Tugkaran, an inequity of WAM or ๐™’๐™ค๐™ข๐™š๐™ฃ’๐™จ ๐˜ผ๐™จ๐™จ๐™ค๐™˜๐™ž๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ ๐™ค๐™› ๐™ˆ๐™–๐™ก๐™ž๐™ฉ๐™– spurred by ๐Œ๐š๐๐š๐ฆ ๐‰๐ž๐š๐ง ๐’๐ž๐ž๐ค๐ข๐ง๐ฌ ๐๐š๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐š. The program aims to offer community food sustainability, promote organic farming, ensure livelihood opportunities, and increase awareness of the community through their engagement in the production of the aforesaid program.

Today, at Barangay Lais, Malita, Davao Occidental, we joyfully release our 101 Olive Ridley Sea Turtles, as part of the 4th batch this year, at the Marine Turtle Conservation Project, Barangay Lais, Malita, Davao Occidental. This initiative is championed by our visionary Mayor, Hon. Bradly L. Bautista. Grateful for the steadfast support from LGU Malita’s Department of Agriculture, under Ma’am Aubrey E. Bautista, the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office led by Sir Roberto Daligdig, Municipal Tourism, LCA Office of Malita led by Sir Jeremiah Jing Danolko, and our vigilant Coast Guard represented by CG PO3 Edmar Q Santorcas. Together, we’re dedicated to preserving these marine wonders and fostering sustainable practices for our oceans.
