Today marks the opening of the Davao Occidental Provincial Athletics Association Meet 2024 which is to be held at the Provincial Capitol grounds in Brgy. Lais, Malita, Davao Occidental. The opening ceremonies were graced by our beloved Honorable Governor Franklin P. Bautista together with the representatives of the five municipalities of Davao Occidental – Sta. Maria, Malita, Don Marcelino, Jose Abad Santos and Sarangani, and representatives of the Department of Education Division of Davao Occidental.

Pasidlak sa Pasko 2023 at the Malita Municipal Hall grounds is a showcase of colorful lights and designs themed for Christmas. The event started with an afternoon mass followed by the opening remarks by our Honorable Vice Mayor Estefanie Bautista-Dumama. Our Honorable Mayor Bradly L. Bautista gave an inspirational message for Christmas. Then a special presentation was made by the One Light Orchestra of the Davao School for the Blind. Then the official lighting ceremonies was made by our Hon. Bradly L. Bautista, Hon. Vice Mayor Estefanie Bautista-Dumama, and the LGU Department Heads. We invite all Malitaños to come and visit the Malita Municipal grounds from 7 in the evening until 10 in the evening. See you there!

Malita just celebrated its 16th Gaginaway Festival. A gathering of its founding tribes and diverse cultures meet as its people offer their prayers, songs of praise, and dance. It is a yearly gathering by the local tribespeople of Malita, a custom that defines its people from their elders. Once again we witnessed a rich cutural heritage that can only be found in Malita. Thank you to the Local Government Unit of Malita headed by our Honorable Mayor Bradly L. Bautista, Honorable Vice Mayor Estefanie Bautista-Dumama, the local tribal leaders and its people, employees, guests, and to the people of Malita. Also present in the event is newly elected Brgy. Chairman of Culaman, Joseph Bautista.
