16th Gaginaway sa Malita Festival 2023

Malita just celebrated its 16th Gaginaway Festival. A gathering of its founding tribes and diverse cultures meet as its people offer their prayers, songs of praise, and dance. It is a yearly gathering by the local tribespeople of Malita, a custom that defines its people from their elders. Once again we witnessed a rich cutural heritage that can only be found in Malita. Thank you to the Local Government Unit of Malita headed by our Honorable Mayor Bradly L. Bautista, Honorable Vice Mayor Estefanie Bautista-Dumama, the local tribal leaders and its people, employees, guests, and to the people of Malita. Also present in the event is newly elected Brgy. Chairman of Culaman, Joseph Bautista.

Malita wins Night Parade!

Residents in Malita witnessed its first night parade on the 8th Araw ng Davao Occidental Siga Kahibulongan event. It was a parade of glowing colors coupled with lighted street dancers to the rich cultural tunes of this historic province. Malita came out as the champion of this colorful event and artistic designs that lighted the streets as they parade towards the Provincial Capitol grounds in Brgy. Lais, Malita, Davao Occidental. It bested out other entries from other municipalities which also showcased very competitive designs with brightly colorful effects. Big thanks to the team that won the championship spot!
