Women’s Month Celebration 2025

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Malita, through its initiative, the Women’s Association of Malita (WAM), celebrated the opening of Women’s Month on March 7, 2025. Under the leadership of Madam Jean Seekins Bautista, the president of WAM, the organization successfully conducted a Community Outreach Program aligned with this year’s theme: “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.” This event specifically targeted women from Poblacion 1, aiming to empower them and raise awareness about their vital societal roles.

The outreach program offered numerous benefits to the participants, including access to valuable resources, education, and opportunities. Engaging with various partner agencies and organizations introduced the women to essential services and support systems available within their community, and a discussion on empowering women. This program provided practical knowledge and fostered a sense of solidarity among participants, encouraging them to collaborate and advocate for their rights and needs.

“Team Marcela,” the coalition behind the Community Outreach Program, consisted of multiple partner agencies and organizations, including the Women’s Association of Poblacion, Adventure College of Malita, Demolok Valley National High School, Holy Cross of Malita, Mariano Peralta National High School, DEPED Division Ladies, DSWD 4P’s, and CIU.

By working together, these organizations aimed to create a comprehensive support for women, enhancing their skills and confidence, ultimately contributing to the development and empowerment of the entire community.
